It's a good way to deal with a business, but the people in his e-mails who talk about living out all of their dreams just like him are being a bit romantic. If you pulled a stunt like that to get a real person's attention, it would be fairly rude.
It reminds me of how we have to be careful when giving attention to my 4-year-old sister; she has to learn that she can earn negative attention by doing something rude or positive attention by doing something nice.
